Why did Room 20 cross the road in their pyjamas?
Because Constable Carl came to show us how to be safe on the footpath on our Pyjama Day!
We had such a fun start to a fantastic Friday and our awesome fundraiser Pyjama Day. We look awesome in our p.j.s.
Constable Carl was surprised to see us in our pyjamas especially because we were going on a walk with him so we could learn all about walking around the neighbourhood safely.
Constable Carl is showing us the kerb. Walking on the kerb is not safe.
Constable Carl is showing us the safe place to walk - the house side of the footpath.
We are looking down a sneaky driveway'. A sneaky driveway is a driveway we can not see down.
Here is a School Zone sign. It shows the special speed zone for schools and the times that drivers need to drive at the speed limit.
Constable Carl is showing us how to cross the road safely if there isn't a pedestrian crossing. We stop at the kerb, take a step back, look bothways, listen for cars, hold hands and cross the road.
Great work Room 20. We are playing it safe on Pyjama Day!
Lots of fun in their PJ's! And happy birthday Miss Ellis! Amelia tells me you're turning 19 and you're having a big party that little kids aren't allowed to go to :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun! Thank you very much for your birthday wishes. We are working on learning more about our numbers and are focussing on 1-20 at present! Maybe I will turn 21 after that!
