Kiaora everybody!
We had so much fun on Pyjama Day last week! Did you see our photos? We had our Friday afternoon visitors come and we acted out our poem for them! Miss Wackrow drew a pedestrian crossing on our carpet and we crossed the road holding hands just like Constable Carl taught us.
We have four new friends who started school this week! Haere mai Keita, Asia, Kaden and Ryan- welcome to Room 20 and Arahoe School.
Here are some of our new friends learning about the Casey the Caterpillar story. We went on a Casey Shape hunt and are great detectives!
We are shaping up this week learning all about shapes! We had a huge shape sort and are learning about the different properties of shapes. The colours, how many sides a shape has, the size and what it is made of are all properties of a shape.
We have a really cool Walk to School Day coming up! It is starting at 8.30am at Pokapu Street (off Golf Road behind the school) and we can all walk to school together- rain or shine! We hope to see you there!
We are starting our calendar art this week and our teachers highly recommend ordering a calendar as they are the greatest, as well as awesome Christmas presents! Order forms are due Tuesday 19 August.
Have a great day everyone and thanks for visiting our blog!
