KIND KIDS BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE LETTER K

Kia ora everybody!

Today we have been learning about the letter 'k'.  It makes the same sound as 'c' does in the word 'cat'.

We did an amazing job on our 'k books' that we made today- listening to instructions, colouring in the lines, cutting on the bold lines, and reading it.  The children who have been here longer also help the newer children.  So kind!

Today we had 3 visitors and they came to the hall for a Swim Safety session with Kora the Kiwi.  Check out the superstar who got to practice putting on a life jacket in the 'water'.  Ka pai- you did an amazing job getting up in front of all of Ara Teina.

We are learning to explain our thinking by using whole sentences so we built creations out of shapes and told our teacher what they were all about.  Anthony said "I made a swimming pool, with a diving board and speakers!"  Great job Anthony.

We have 4 new friends who have started school this week!  Welcome to our new friends!

Miss Ellis and Miss Wackrow have  a message for our parents and caregivers!  If you would like to come for a parent teacher meeting you can book online at

(Please book in Monday only at this stage as we are having to re-arrange the Wednesday meetings due to a previously existing school commitment!)

Our teachers say that you can just come once a term, and if we have just started school it might be best to wait till we have settled into school unless you  really have something you want to talk about.  There will be more meetings near the end of term too!)
