CLASS NOTICES FOR ROOM 20

Kia ora everybody!

We had a fantastic time yesterday when Constable Carl came to visit us.  We met the Road Patrol  who help us cross the road at the front entrance of the school.  We practiced listening to them saying 'Signs Out, Check, Clear, Cross Now.' We held onto Constable Carl's hand as we crossed the road because we need to hold onto our parent's hand too!

This is how tall I should be until Constable Carl thinks we should stay in our booster seats.

After afternoon tea we went to the library.  We can get books out of the library before and after school, as well as lunch time.  We go to the library every Wednesday and can keep our book for the whole week. We have to return our books to the library by Wednesday morning, before school starts! We also keep our cards inside our books.

Check out our letter sound word charts!  On Monday we thought of 9 words and then on Tuesday we went b-b-b bananas with letter b with 23 words on our letter sound words charts.

In Shared Writing we are learning how to draw a picture and think of a sentence to go with our story.  Today we drew a picture about our Constable Carl visit and told our teacher the story.

Here we are learning to write our numbers on each others backs!

Here is the clip that we watch to help us:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpA-YUC29E8

We are also having Subway every Thursday so watch out for our order forms in our book bags.  Order forms and money need to be returned to our teachers by Tuesday morning.

We are doing a great job settling in to Room 20.  We are going to be bringing home 2 reading books in our book bags.  One will be what we have read with Miss Wackrow that day, and one will be from our pick box.   Our pick box book is a book we have already read and will help us with our confidence and practice.

Have a great afternoon everyone.
Hei kona ra (Goodbye)
