TODAY WE ARE LEARNING...

Kia ora everybody!

Today we have been learning about letter b and the sounds it makes.  We watched this really cool video to help us:  Letter B Song

We are learning how to set up our chalkboards for Handwriting by drawing The Casey the Caterpillar story.  Our teachers sent home a sheet in our book bags which have the special words we use during Handwriting.

We thought of so many words that start with letter b today.  More than yesterday!  We are such super learners.

At Reading time we were looking for words we read a lot.  Have a look in our Homework books to see what words we can see in our Reading books today.

At Maths time, we played Twister.  This is helping us read our numbers 1-10 and to play well with other children, as well as be in control of our bodies and make them strong.  Chloe and Mia even had a go at being the leader.

At the end of the day we made puppets of ourselves so we can put on a puppet show of our shared book of the week 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt.'  Hopefully we will be brave enough to perform it in front of our visitors on Friday afternoon.

Another great day at school.  School is cool and learning is fun!

Ka kite ano,
