WHAT IS HAPPEINING IN CONSTELLATION ROOM 20?

Kiaora everybody!

Yesterday Amelia brought some artefacts (items) to share with the rest of the class.  She brought a t.shirt, a flag, and a huge rooster biscuit.  What are so special about these things?  They show Amelia's Polish culture.  We learnt that the Polish way to say Poland is 'Polska'.  We thought it was interesting that her t.shirt and the Polska flag are red and white.  We also saw that the biscuit and the t.shirt both had roosters.

Please bring something to share with the rest of the class to show the country you are from, or to share about your culture.  Have a think about any myths or legends that can be shared with us over the term.  We want to learn about how cultures celebrate New Years or stars, like we celebrate Matariki, the Maori New Year in New Zealand.

In the meantime, have a look at some of our photos for some talking time!

Ka kite ano, and thanks for visiting our blog!
