A reminder about tomorrow's Teddy Bear's Picnic at Westlynn Gardens. If you are walking with us, please wait outside the classroom for our departure at 10am. We have enough parent helpers which is fantastic. Please remember this is a family event so everyone is welcome!
Everyone needs to wear a hat and comfortable walking shoes, as well as bring a water bottle.
A reminder to parents that our school day starts at 8.55 am. To ensure all the children new to school settle into the day smoothly, we ask that all children are unpacked and on the mat ready for learning by 8.55am. If you want to talk to me, please come to school earlier so we can either talk then or arrange a time to discuss any matters. I highly recommend that your child arrives by 8.45 as they have time to unpack, learn classroom routines and develop friendships.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Sarah
School notices for the week:
End of Term Date - Wednesday 10th December @1.30pm
This has changed as the facilitator, who was going to be leading a Teacher Only Day for us this month, can no longer do it. Our last day is now Wednesday 10th December and school will close at 1.30pm on that day. This year our finish is earlier than in previous years and relates back to our early start in January in order that we could make the dates available for our Year 5 and 6 camp. Our school holiday programme will begin on Thursday 11th December. For full details of this please contact the staff at SKIDZ.
Parent-Teacher Discussions - Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th December
Our next parent-teacher discussions are being held on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th December. Bookings for these discussion are now open and can be booked at http://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/code. The code is BDW2P.
School Uniform
Our school uniform is a compulsory one and must be worn in full each day by every student. If your child needs additional items please purchase them from our office. We have new and second hand items to choose from. The uniform does include jackets and specifically excludes hoodies and the like. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
