NEWS FLASH! CROSS COUNTRY IS ON MONDAY!! PLUS TRIP INFORMATION.

Kia ora parents and caregivers,

Exciting news!  On Monday the 19th (this Monday), we will be having a Cross Country.  Children will run inside the school grounds and be supported by teachers and senior children.  We will be running the race in the last block (approx. 2pm).  Please feel free to come and cheer the children on, and support them in crossing the finish line.

We will have  a practice tomorrow!

Children will need comfortable shoes for running and it would be great if they could have a change of clothes.  Very exciting!

Thanks for your support.

Our trip next Wednesday will continue rain or shine!  Please see details below for more information.

For our trip to the Refuse Station on Wednesday 21 May children will need
to wear covered shoes and have their morning tea packed in a small plastic bag.  As we will be back at school at about 12.30, children will eat lunch then. We will be packing our morning tea bags into a small box to take with us, as requested by the Refuse Station.
If it is raining we will continue the trip, as there are inside facilities as part of the tour.
For parents coming on the trip, to comply with safety standards we need one delegated photographer for each class and no cell phones.  Please let your classroom teacher know if you are interested in taking photos- this parent will not be responsible for any students.
We are still requesting parent helpers to fulfil the required ratio.  We are very happy to have aunties, uncles, grandparents or older siblings (over 18).
The first 5 parent helpers to register can ride on the bus, and the rest can meet us at the Transfer Station.

Thanks so much. The children are doing incredibly well settling into school and the longer 3pm finish for some of them.

Ka kite ano,
Sarah
