WELCOME TO TERM 4

Kia ora everybody,

Welcome Back to School!
It is my pleasure to have you with me this term. This is the BEST way to get the latest and greatest that will be going on in Room 20. It is updated weekly... sometimes daily. Here is where you will find information about the following:

* What we are doing in our learning space
* Photographs of our learning
* Links to songs and clips to support our learning
* Interactive Learning Games
* Special Announcements
* Teacher Contact information
 * AND MUCH MORE!

This is our main communication tool, so please take some time to familiarize yourself  with this great tool! Blogger is an app that can be added to all mobile devices as well. I am looking forward to a great year!

Important Information:
  • Hats- In Term 4 we must wear out hats so that we can play in the playground.  Make sure you bring your school hat with your name on it.
  • An extra library day- half of us can go to the library on a Wednesday and the other half can go on a Thursday. Please return library books on Wednesday mornings to the green box outside the library door.
  • Holiday Readers- Reading books that were taken home over the holidays can be returned to the big green basket by the Room 20 entry.
  • Class Changes- our tables have moved, as have lots of our equipment.  Have a good look around our class on Monday.
  • Cloak bay- Our cloak bay names have been moved!  They are now in alphabetical order! Remember to unpack your bag all by yourself.
  • Diverse Divas- We will be learning about Diwali so we can understand how the cultures of people in New Zealand are expressed in their daily lives.
  • Fire Safety- we will be learning to describe and use safe practices in a range of contexts and identify people who can help
  • We have an Authentic Task: students will share something that symbolises their personal celebration of light (birthday, guy fawkes, christmas, diwali, matariki etc...) with the rest of the class.
So...think about Diwali, celebrations, light, fire works and fire safety!

Enjoy the rest of your holidays and see you on Monday!

Ka kita ano,
Miss Ellis
