Kia ora parents and caregivers,
A Modern Learning Environment:
The children have been settling into our shared learning space well. We are using both Room 19 and 20 as our learning spaces. It has been very rewarding to collaboratively teach with Mrs Betsy Rego, Miss Gill Read, and on Fridays we have had Mrs Noel joining us.
The children work in one of 3 learning teams - The Rhythm Section, The Tempo Team and The Beats.
Pick Up Points:
As from Monday, Mrs Rego will dismiss the Room 19 students from the Room 19 door at the end of the day. If you received a letter in the school holidays regarding your child moving to Room 19, please collect them from Room 19. If you did not receive a letter in the holidays, you can continue to collect them from the Room 20 doors. We ask that you wait outside for safety reasons.
Change of Clothes:
Please make sure your child has a change of clothes in their school bag in case of accidents- thanks.
Classroom Helpers:
Please let me know if you would like to help out in Room 19 or 20 learning spaces. This could be as simple as sharpening pencils, reading with a child, supporting children during social play and independent activities or perhaps you can share a special skill with us. As we are learning about music, any musicians would be most welcome! We are always looking for positive male role models too. Let me know if you would like to be a Super Hero at Ara Teina assembly and hand out our certificates.
Toys and sweets at school:
Just a reminder that we have a policy of no toys at school to prevent any loss or breakages. We also ask that lollies and chocolate are kept for after school treats.
Please do not hesitate to contact me on sarahe@arahoe.school.nz if you need to, or catch me in the morning between 8.30 and 8.50am.
Have a great weekend,
Sarah
