A SUCCESSFUL CLASS

Kia ora everybody,

Miss Ellis was so proud of us this morning!  We have been learning about the Maori legend of how the world began.  It is called 'In the Beginning' and is about Papatuanuku (the Earth Mother) and Ranganui (The Sky Father).

Today we were learning to draw what happened in the beginning, the middle and the end of the story.  Everybody in Room 20 did an excellent job.  You can ask us the story!  Miss Ellis said it is how we can retell a story.

We also finished our beautiful Rangoli patterns.  Miss Rego has been working with us on these, and is very impressed at how carefully we have made our patterns.  Come and see our beautiful display when it is finished.

We also worked on our kites for our Matariki parade on the last day of Term 2.  We are going to make tails out of them with the teen numbers because we are learning to read our teen numbers.  We can bring ribbons to school to attach our numbers to.

Tomorrow we will be making roti bread!  So exciting and fun!

A big paki paki to Kalais who has added to our whanau wall!  Great job Kalais!

We hope you have had a great day- we did!

Ka kite ano,
